Final Reflection -
This has been a good experience for me. I feel rejuvenated to head back to school and use some of these tools in my classroom. I am a little concerned about how to fit in all of the pre-teaching. I believe it will take a portion of class time to educate my students on district and school policy about using technology, as well as how to use the tools. Once this foundation is in place, I know that these tools will enhance the learning in my class. I am just trying to figure out where I will find time to cover the beginning stages. I will use baby steps with incorporating these tools. I will use a Blog as my class website this year. I hope this will make my communication easier and more effective. I will certainly use the presentation tools this year as well as YouTube. I think each tool will take fair amount of time for the students to learn.
In my opinion, this class was very successful for me. After school finished last spring, I was a little intimidated with the idea of having so much technology to use this coming year. I wanted to give my students a strong technology foundation but had no idea where to start. After finishing this class I have a strong direction that I would like to take into my class and I have the tools to teach it. I created things in this class that I am proud of. Plus, to my surprise, using these tools were easier than I thought they were going to be. Still, my progression will be moderate. The technology goal for my classroom this year is for my students to understand the concept of respect in regards to technology and online community. I would like them to understand the concept of an online footprint, and that what they put online will stay online. If I can educate my students on how to be safe and respectful online, I will feel successful.

Thank you for your thoughtful reflection, Aaron. Our goal was to help teachers feel more comfortable using technology and to get you thinking about how to best use it with students (which are two very different things!). I think you are successful in both. You have created some valuable projects to use with your students, and you have thought carefully about how to best implement using Chromebooks in your classroom. Thanks for being a part of nerd camp this summer, and best of luck this school year!
