Kickoff :

I am very excited to start the Tech Nerd Camp 2.0 I am looking forward to expanding my technology knowledge.

My motivation for taking this class is to help me become a better teacher and to be prepared for chrome books in the fall. I want ideas to take back to my classroom that will allow me to use chrome books effectively in many curricular areas. On a more personal level, I am very interested in technology and how it can be used in the classroom to expand students knowledge and differentiate for different types of learners.

I hope to learn how to utilize Google products in my classroom with my set of chrome books. I also would like to pick up a couple ideas to use in class this coming fall. I hope to become comfortable enough to teach my students how to use their chrome books to make them better students.

I feel pretty comfortable with technology. Having a natural interest in it helps a bit. I can always learn more but feel pretty comfortable with computers. I want strategies for using Google and useful pieces of technology in my classroom to extend and reinforce what we are learning in class. I try to use as much technology as I can, however in the spring, it gets tough to find technology that is not being used for testing. :( I love using Ipads, chrome books, laptops. I enjoy teaching my kids how to use presentation, word processing, data base tools but with third graders, this is very basic. I am excited to see what else I can use in my classroom.
